Fun Run & Walk 2023
Once again, hundreds of Pelican Landing residents took to the road to promote wellness and support The Bridge Fund by participating in the 4th Annual Pelican Landing Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, March 11th. Under the direction of founder, Steve Gunther, participants and friends gathered Friday night for a pre-event pasta dinner, and followed their run/walk with a healthy snack and a chance to outbid their competitors on several auction items donated by residents and local businesses.
Steve's friend, Jim Stiger, who tragically died in a bicycle accident in 2017, is his inspiration for this event. The Stiger Award, awarded to the event’s largest fundraiser, was presented by Steve to Lesley and John Hill.
The $32,000 in proceeds, the most ever raised by the event, benefits TBF and will have a major impact on neighbors in need in our community. The Bridge Fund thanks Steve, the many event volunteers, and
all the Pelican Landing athletes who made the Fun Run & Walk such a success!
