Get To Know Our Board Members
I have been a Pelican Landing resident since 1996, and I am most grateful for the opportunity to be involved with The Bridge Fund, which is truly helping many people who are in desperate need. I was in business for 40 years as a CFO, COO, and CEO of several startup companies. I have always enjoyed sports and continue to play tennis regularly. My wonderful wife, Judy, and I have 8 children and 14 grandchildren to keep us busy.
Former Board Members
Mike Beebe
My wife and I have lived in Pelican Landing and Maine in the summers since 1996. Proud father of two lovely daughters and 4 grands, I've been on TBF Board since 2012. Formerly an eclectic businessperson: construction; development; commercial fishing; food processing, etc. I enjoy a good daily workout and then time devoted to helping those in need.
Jim Herald
My wife Margie and I have been residents of PL for over 15yrs; now spending 8 months in "paradise" and 4 months in Indianapolis. We are a blended family with 4 kids and 5 grandkids. Margie and I both worked in telecommunications. I have been a TBF board member since inception. Caring for my wife, TBF, time with friends, tennis and biking are my primary forms of enjoyment.
Beverly Haas
I purchased a condo in PL's Colony in 2009 intending to be a "snow bird," but quickly evolved to almost full-time. My late husband and I raised four children in MA, one of whom is teaching here in Bonita Springs. I worked as an attorney in employee benefits and planned giving, now spend my time with family and friends, golf, tennis, and serving on TBF Board, which is truly an honor and joy.
Ann Soper
My husband, Mike, and I have been residents of Pelican Landing since 1999 and I have been a member of TBF Board since inception in 2012. My business life was with a non-profit health care organization in Florida, where I've lived all of my life. I enjoy tennis, turtling, hiking and just hanging out with my extended family in Pelican Landing. Working with TBF is extremely rewarding in many ways!
Caroline
Crew
After spending years raising our daughter in different parts of the country, my husband and I found Bonita Springs and decided this was the place for us to retire. We’ve lived here 10 years and enjoy all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. My career was in education and I was fortunate to work along side many talented and caring people who put the needs of others at the top of the list, and I’m honored to work with The Bridge Fund board to continue that work.
Aileen
Kevane
I’ve been a resident of Pelican Landing and member of the Nest since 2003. I am privileged to be a Bridge Fund board member since 2015. Professionally, I am a retired educator and currently a business owner with my family. My husband, Frank, and I enjoy our 2 children, 5 grands, golf, travel and community involvement in Florida and the Jersey shore.
Sandy
Mellinger
My husband, Dick, and I have been residents of Pelican Landing since 2004. We are the proud parents of 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I am very honored for the opportunity to be able to work with The Bridge Fund and the other board members. I retired after 50 years as a Registered Nurse and Practice Administrator. I enjoy golfing, biking, Mah jongg and spending time with my family and friends.
Bob Taylor
My wife, Barbara, and I have been residents of Pelican Landing since 2006, while still spending summers in Maine. We enjoy golf and traveling, but most importantly, spending time with our family, especially our 9 grandchildren. I retired after an enjoyable 40 year career in the insurance industry. It has been deeply gratifying and humbling to serve as a member of The Bridge Fund Board since its founding in 2012 and to be a small part of such an honorable mission.
Jay Trucks
I’ve been a resident of Pelican Landing and the Colony since 1998, and a member of The Bridge Fund Board since inception in 2012. My professional life has been as a practicing lawyer helping injured workers. I enjoy tennis & my work which now is in the 6th decade.
Former Board Members
Judi Brown
Judi was an attorney and president of a financial planning company and the Beebes' neighbor and friend. She was instrumental in urging Mike to pursue his passion to help local neighbors in need. Judi joined the Board in 2012 and remained a member until she and her husband, Al, moved to Arizona in 2014 to be closer to their grandchildren.
Rob Holloway
Rob was one of the first members of the Board of Directors, serving until his death in October, 2013. Rob was admired for his enthusiastic endorsement of and dedication to the mission of The Bridge Fund, and for his tireless energy in serving on the Board. His wife, Joy, and family continue to be strong supporters of The Bridge Fund.
Tom Sullivan
Tom was elected to the Board in 2013 and served until his passing in May, 2019. An attorney and successful insurance company executive, when Tom spoke, people listened. He was a beacon of knowledge and insight for TBF -- a man of commitment, compassion and desire to help those less fortunate. His guidance is greatly missed.
